Oct. 16

  • Vandalism on city property at 45 New Haven Avenue was reported, police said.
  • A stolen vehicle from Fairfield was recovered on Broad Street, police said.
  • A woman was taken into custody and turned over to Stratford Police Department on an active arrest warrant out of their town, police said.
  • An accidental firearm discharge inside a resident on Erna Avenue was reported while the resident was cleaning their firearm, police said. The resident was treated for minor injuries, police said.

  • An officer observed an occupied stolen vehicle near Greens End Road, police said. The vehicle did not stop for the officer and was later recovered unoccupied on the Exit 33 Southbound Ramp, police said. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
  • A window was smashed, and theft from an auto on Plains Road was reported, police said.
  • An unlocked vehicle was rifled through on Stagecoach Circle. The suspect hit the garage door opener in the car, and items were stolen within the garage, police said.
