Milford Chamber of Commerce Hosts "Health & Wellness Council"
The topic is titled the "Top 10 Best Things Small Businesses Can Do to Have the Greatest Impact on Employee Wellness."
The Milford Chamber of Commerce “Health & Wellness Council” is hosting a special panel presentation at its next regular monthly meeting on Thursday, June 11, at 8:30 a.m., in the Chamber Conference Room, 5 Broad Street, Milford.
This meeting is open to both Chamber members and the general public, and there is no charge to attend. Space is limited, so reservations are encouraged by calling the Chamber at (203) 878-0681.
The topic is called the “Top 10 Best Things Small Businesses Can Do to Have the Greatest Impact on Employee Wellness.”

This presentation will share valuable information on what small businesses can do to help their employees remain healthy, and why this is more important than ever. The three experienced presenters will speak on the topic for 10 minutes each, followed by a Q&A session for attendees.
Panelists Include: Betsy Ratner, Stress Management Consultant, Lauren Messina, Employer Relations Specialist with Bridgeport Hospital, – Lauren works directly with area employers to develop wellness programs administered through Bridgeport Hospital. She has also worked at Greenwich Hospital and both are associated with Yale — and Dr. R. Mark Pappas, Chiropractor, a doctor of chiropractic for over 27 years. He has achieved board certification as a chiropractic internist and occupational health specialist. He is also board eligible as a nutritionist.

The Health & Wellness Council was founded seven years ago. It is non-exclusive specialty group, comprised of Chamber members in the health and wellness industry. Its mission is “To empower Milford business community to foster positive changes through education, health and wellness,” and its vision is “To make Milford, Connecticut the healthiest community in the nation.”
