Milford Chamber Hosts Scholarship Lunch And State of the City Address

The luncheon will feature the city's 2016 State of the City Address and the MCoC Trust's annual scholarship presentations.

The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be hosting a luncheon featuring the City of Milford’s 2016 State of the City Address and the Milford Chamber of Commerce Trust’s annual scholarship presentations. The event will take place on Friday, May 20 at Aldario's Restaurant, located at 240 Naugatuck Avenue in Milford, at noon.

Milford Mayor Benjamin G. Blake will be giving a comprehensive presentation on the state of the city of Milford for 2016. In addition to the mayor’s address, the Milford Chamber of Commerce Trust will present college scholarships to 27 students from the greater Milford area. The scholarships are granted for various fields of study and all scholarship winners will be present at the event to receive their awards. The $23,500 in scholarships is funded through the Milford Chamber of Commerce Trust and its annual fundraiser, the BIC Golf Classic, which is scheduled for Monday, July 11.

The luncheon is supported by “Presenting Sponsor” SUBWAY World HQ, along with “Honor Roll” sponsors Lauralton Hall and Connecticut Post Mall as well as “Gold Star” sponsors BIN 100 and Eli’s on Daniel St. This event is by reservation only, and the cost is $39 per person.
