Arlene has been a crossing guard for about 40 years at the same school and takes the time and effort to get to know every single child that she crosses as well as cars that drive by as well. She is loved by everyone!
How do you know the school hero you’re nominating?
I live on Pumpkin Delight Rd and she crossed all 3 of my children who all went to Pumpkin Delight School. My children are all adults and some have children of their own. She made a lasting impression on them all and they will never forget her.
What should your community know about this person?
Arlene has been a crossing guard at the same intersection for Pumpkin Delight School for over 40 years. But she's more than a crossing guard, she's a kind sould who takes the time and effort to get to know each and every student she crosses and will sometimes buy them little gifts at holiday time. She also waves at the children in the cars that drive by as well. She is one special lady that deserves recognition for her dedication and her many many years of service. Everyone loves Arlene and she's one of a kind for sure!
