Milford Firefighters Honored For Helping Save Patient Life
The crew treated and transported a patient who was experiencing a heart attack with a complete artery blockage.

MILFORD, CT — Paramedics and EMTs from the Milford Fire Department were honored by Bridgeport Hospital after their quick actions led to a good outcome for a patient who was experiencing a heart attack.
The crew treated and transported the patient, who had a full blockage in an artery.
"Due to the crew's prompt recognition, STEMI activation and prehospital treatment, along with ongoing care from our Bridgeport Hospital cardiology team, the patient had an excellent outcome and was recently discharged to home," hospital officials said in a statement.

The following Milford Department members were awarded the commitment to cardiac care award: Lt. Paramedic Thomas Piskura, Firefighter Paramedic Jeffrey Hilliard, Firefighter EMT Ryan Antonino, Firefighter EMT Michael Castiglione, and Firefighter EMT John Macaudo.
