Milford Oyster Festival 2024 Music Headliners Revealed
"The 50th Annual Milford Oyster Festival will have 3 national acts to celebrate the BIG EVENT!" organizers said.

MILFORD, CT — The Milford Oyster Festival announced live on WPLR's Chaz & AJ radio show that three national musical acts have been picked to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the event.
"The 50th Annual Milford Oyster Festival will have 3 national acts to celebrate the BIG EVENT! Little Feat will be the headline band. Opening up for Little Feat will be Lead Singers of Class Rock. Warming up the stage is Living Colour. Kicking off the music will be No Strings Attached. See you all on 8/17."
Little Feat is an American rock band formed in 1969 by Lowell George, Bill Payne and Richie Hayward. Bill Payne is the current lead singer in the band. (You can read about the band's entire history by clicking here).

As for Class Rock, it includes Tommy Decarlo, a former lead singer of the band Boston and Jason Scheff, the former long-time lead singer of the iconic band Chicago.
The band Living Colour, an 80s hard rock band, is best known for its iconic song, Cult of Personality, will also be performing.

The Milford Oyster Festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Milford and the event draws more than 50,000 people to the city each year.
In a news release, the Milford Oyster Festival wrote:

"The Festival welcomes Little Feat to headline the main stage on August 17, 2024. Over the past 50 years, Little Feat has used a combination of elite musicianship and brilliant songwriting to create a repertoire that transcends all boundaries. California rock, funk, jazz, country and rockabilly mixed with New Orleans swamp boogie led to a powerful sound that has kept the audience dancing for decades. From the new release , Sam’s Place, to old favorites like “Dixie Chicken”, “Spanish Moon”, “Fat Man in the Bathtub”, “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now” Little Feat will be rocking MILFORD.
"Opening for Little Feat will be Lead Singers of Classic Rock. This band features Jason Scheff, longtime lead singer of the band Chicago and Tommy DeCarlo, a former lead vocalist of Boston. Jason and Tommy will feature Chicago's classic ballads and Boston's thumping guitar-driven hit songs.
"Warming up the stage for these two great bands is Living Colour. Living Colour is a Grammy award winning rock band from New York City, formed in 1984. Stylistically, their music is a creative fusion influenced by heavy metal, funk, jazz, hip hop, punk, and alternative rock. The band's lyrics range from the personal to the political.
"Kicking off the music will be No Strings Attached a popular local duet playing your favorite hits from the 60’s to the present.

"The Milford Oyster Festival will be held rain or shine on Saturday August 17, 2024 from 10:00am-6:00pm. In addition to the main stage entertainment, the event also includes a craft beer area and second music stage at Lisman Landing, the Festival car show, arts and crafts vendors on the Green, amusement rides, Civic Groups, local businesses, a children’s stage, canoe and kayak races, great food, beer, wine and 30,000 Oysters that will be locally sourced from Briarpatch Shellfish Company in Milford. Don’t miss the the oyster eating and oyster shucking contest as
well.
"Oyster Eve, the festival kick-off event, will be held on Friday August 16, from 6:00pm-10:00pm in Fowler Field. Darik and the Funbags will be rocking Fowler Field on Friday night. Craft beers, wine, oysters and a wide selection of great food will be available on Oyster Eve. There is $8.00 entry fee on Oyster Eve for anyone over 14."
