Milford Police: East Haven Man Accused of Breaking Into Milford Business

Police say the man broke into a Krauser's on Bridgeport Avenue.

Milford police said they investigated a burglary report at Krauser’s, located on Bridgeport Avenue, on May 5.

While on patrol, an officer heard the sound of breaking glass, police said. While checking the scene, a male dressed in all black clothing was running away from the area to flee the officer.

Police later located a vehicle in the area that had been running with the keys in the ignition, police said.

The vehicle was later connected to Peter Barone, 42, of East Haven. Barone was arrested on Thursday, May 21 at around 1 p.m.

He is accused of breaking the glass window with intent to commit a burglary, police said.

Barone is charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools, police said.

He was released on a promise to appear in Milford Superior Court on June 16.
