Nominations were solicited in early April, and the honorees were selected at each school in the weeks following.

MILFORD, CT — Milford Public Schools families are honoring teachers, paraeducators, and parents.

Nominations were solicited in early April, and the honorees were selected at each school in the weeks following, according to a district statement.

Beyond the schoolwide honorees, the district selects one winner from each category.

  • The Districtwide Teacher of the Year is Lauren Aliberti from Meadowside Elementary School.
  • The Districtwide Paraeducator of the Year is Meghan Cole from East Shore Middle School.
  • The Districtwide Parent of the Year for Milford is Melissa & Kevin Lawless from Calf Pen Elementary School.

All honorees will be celebrated at the district’s End of the Year Celebration on May 27 at the Parsons Auditorium, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

“Each year, we are proud to recognize the remarkable individuals who help make our schools vibrant, successful places for students to learn and grow. This year’s honorees embody the very best of Milford’s spirit — their dedication and compassion make a lasting difference,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Anna Cutaia said in a statement.

The 2025 Teachers of the Year are Tara DeEll (Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School), Bonnie Etense (East Shore Middle School), Katie Scheibel (Harborside Middle School), Tara Truscello (John F. Kennedy Elementary School), Molly Anderson (Jonathan Law High School), Catherine Ganun (Joseph A. Foran High School), Morgan Guadagnoli (Live Oaks Elementary School), Amy Andrews (Mathewson Elementary School), Lauren Aliberti (Meadowside Elementary School), Jennifer Rappa (Orange Avenue Elementary School), Kellie Choquette (Orchard Hills Elementary School), Tierney Booth (Pumpkin Delight Elementary School), Toni Cassone (West Shore Middle School).
The 2025 Paraeducators of the Year are Jen Knight (Calf Pen Meadow Elementary School), Meghan Cole (East Shore Middle School), Sara Whitwell (Harborside Middle School), Colleen Gambardella (John F. Kennedy Elementary School), Gail White (Jonathan Law High School), Jackie Carrano (Joseph A.
