Milford Rep. Rose Addresses Cuts to Planned Parenthood
"We are particularly concerned at the way that attempts to remove Medicaid reimbursements target women's reproductive healthcare."

From the Connecticut General Assembly: State Representative Kim Rose (D-Milford) held a press conference with colleagues and agencies serving women’s reproductive health care needs to speak about cuts to Medicaid and Planned Parenthood at the state capitol.
"As women legislators, we are particularly concerned at the way that attempts to remove Medicaid reimbursements target women's reproductive healthcare. Over thirty-thousand Medicaid patients are served by Planned Parenthood in Connecticut each year. This is the only way that many of their patients access healthcare, and at Planned Parenthood, their care is of the very highest quality, where all people receive the care they need.
We stand here today alongside many of our male colleagues to send a clear message that we will be doing all we can to protect healthcare access and to support Planned Parenthood in Connecticut. This is a question of fairness and of preserving health programs that have been indispensable to the quality of life for thousands of individuals in Connecticut, and many more across the nation."
