Milford Banquet Hall Announces Opening Plans

MILFORD, CT — The owners of the former Costa Azzurra restaurant site on Broadway are aiming to open a new banquet hall and restaurant early next year.

Tyde at Walnut Beach is scheduled to launch in January, with events scheduled for May, according to the New Haven Register. The property was bought by the Landino family, which also operates Cascade Fine Catering in Hamden.

The Milford Planning and Zoning Commission approved plans for a two-story building at the site. The new building will have slightly less square footage than the Costa Azzurra building. The second floor will serve as a restaurant when the banquet hall isn't being used.

Costa Azzurra was in business for 47 years. It closed in 2019 shortly after Sebastiano "Benny" Faustini, 54, died. The business was owned and run by the Faustini family for three generations.
