Obituary: Annabelle Torres, 94, Of Milford
Annabelle was an active member of the community and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Annabelle Torres “GGMa”, 94, of Milford, CT, beloved wife of the late John Torres, passed away on February 1, 2023. Born on December 22, 1928 in Manhattan, NY.
Annabelle had an Associates Degree in Business from Bronx Community College. She worked for 20 years as an Executive Medical Secretary for New York Presbyterian College of Physicians and Surgeons. Annabelle was extremely involved in her community serving as a Board Member of the Housing Authority in her neighborhood. She was also an active participant in the local Spanish American Community Club in Co-Op City. Annabelle loved to sing especially with her husband John and their friends.

She enjoyed taking trips to the local casinos and even participated for many years in the Spanish American Bowling League. Traveling was one of her great passions, taking many trips to tropical islands seeking out different beach destinations. After retirement, Annabelle, affectionately known as GGMa by both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, volunteered much of her time working in the local nursery schools the children attended.
Annabelle is survived by her daughter Annabelle Capalbo and her husband Joseph Capalbo, her daughter Jodi Torres and her son John Torres and his wife Randi Torres. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren Sarelle Suarez, Christopher Capalbo, Ralph Suarez, Danielle Scappatura, Joseph Capalbo, Jasmine Torres, Nicholas Capalbo, Chloe Capalbo, Anthony Scappatura, Ariana Suarez, Sophia Capalbo, Ralph Suarez, Scarlett Scappatura and Jace Suarez; as well as her sole surviving sister Carmen Torres. Annabelle is predeceased by numerous siblings and also has many nieces and nephews; too many to name. Annabelle also leaves behind her beloved dogs Lunar and Lola and her parakeet Porky.
