Obituary: Thomas S. Zaleski, 64, of Milford

Tom worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 40 years. He was a devoted Mets fan, avid traveler and cherished times with friends and family.

MILFORD, CT - (From Adzima Funeral Home) Thomas S. Zaleski, 64, of Milford, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021, in his home.

Tom was born in Bridgeport, CT on April 2,1957 to the late Zenon and Helen (Nazarko) Zaleski and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1975 graduate of Kolbe High School and was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft for more than 40 years.

Tom was an avid Mets fan who enjoyed family trips to Cape Cod, spending holidays with family, and reading a good book. He especially enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with lifelong friends John, Jim and Tim to catch up on old times.

His Saturday mornings were spent at Eisenhower Park with his dog, Stella. Tom was a former member of the Golden Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corp of Bridgeport and loved reminiscing about those years.

Survivors include his devoted sisters, Christine Milewski and her husband Dan, and Donna Zaleski all of Stratford, niece and nephew, Yvonne Gamelin and her husband Rick, and Regan Milewski, great nephews and niece Ricky, Andre and Aiva, aunts Bernadine Tabary and Elinore Coughlin of Arizona, several cousins and his beloved Chocolate-Lab, Stella.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church Second Hill Lane, Stratford.

Everyone in attendance must follow the COVID 19 guidelines, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
