Pantochino Teen Theatre Now Registering Winter Session

The eight week program gives young actors the opportunity to audition for, rehearse and perform a full-length musical.

PANTOCHINO TEEN THEATRE NOW REGISTERING FOR WINTER SESSION

MILFORD - Pantochino Teen Theatre is now registering young actors thirteen to eighteen years old for its winter production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” to be performed in Milford in February.

The eight week program gives young actors the opportunity to audition for, rehearse and perform a full-length musical outside of the academic setting working with professional directors, choreographers and designers in a fast-paced immersive setting. Saturday rehearsals, from 10am to 3:30pm begin January 10 at Pantochino studios located on the lower level of the Connecticut Post Mall. Rehearsals continue on Saturday through February with performances live on stage at the Milford Arts. Council, The MAC February 27, 28 and March 1.

“A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” is Broadway’s classic musical farce featuring book by Larry Gelbart and Burt Shevelove with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Considered one of the funniest musicals ever written, the show is a nonstop laugh fest which follows a crafty slave who will do anything to win his freedom. The show features many excellent roles and a winning score by Sondheim. This program is sponsored by The Milford Bank.

“Teen Theatre is a great opportunity for teens who love and excel at acting and singing,” said producer Bert Bernardi. “It’s also perfect for those just starting out and first timers as the program is warm, supportive and promotes compassion and positivity,” he added.
