Southern CT Weather: Rain Arrives Sunday, Freeze Conditions Possible Monday Night

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for parts of southern Connecticut. Here's what you need to know about the changing forecast.

The pleasant weather on Saturday and Sunday morning will erode as rain is forecast to move into Connecticut during the afternoon hours and then stick around through most of Monday.

"Showers develop this afternoon and into the evening and will become scattered about, with even a chance for a few claps of thunder. Highs in the 50s, with a few spots getting close to 60 degrees. It’s the last warm day for a while! Breezy with gusts up to 25 mph from varying directions," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.

"Low-pressure and a cold front arrive (Monday) and brings rain with it tomorrow morning, so we are first alerting you to have the umbrella ready. The rain coverage decreases especially by the afternoon hours, though a late day shower could clip NW CT and could contain a few wet snowflakes. Breezy and highs in the lower 50s," added WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
