Attempted Burglary in Montville Under Investigation By Police
A man reportedly damaged a front door in an alleged burglary but did not gain entry into the home, police said.

The Montville CT Police Department officers responded to an attempted burglary of a residence on Moxley Road. According to police, a white man first knocked on a door at approximately 12:24 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29.
The man then began banging on the door, police said.
“The homeowner yelled out and the white male fled to a red pick-up with words on it saying ’sealing and coating’,” according to Montville police. “The front door was damaged but the burglar did not get into the house.”
