The suspect used a creative ploy in the scam, according to authorities.

MONTVILLE, CT — A man, who police referred to as a "ballsy bad guy," told employees of a Montville Dunkin' donuts shop over the weekend that he was an employee of another Dunkin' location before he scammed them and stole $200, according to authorities.
The suspect, who was later caught by Montville police, told the Dunkin' employees that he needed to make change for a pair of $100 bills.
"The accused walked right behind the counter, taped the screen, opened the drawer and 'made change,'" Montville police wrote in a Facebook post.
