Community Foundation Looking For Montville Grant Recipients

Organization puts out request for proposals to distribute over $500,000 in grants to organizations in the region including Montville

 

The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut is looking for proposals from organizations interested in receiving a portion of over $500,000 available in discretionary grants.

The organization will receive applications through Nov. 15. The grants will be distributed to a number of causes including "arts and culture, health care, economic opportunity, education, social services, and the environment."

They are available to recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofits as well as most charitable, educational, and civic organizations in Montville, East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, Lyme, New London, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Salem, Stonington and Waterford.

The priority areas highlighted for these grants are programs aiming to strengthen families, improve access to resources in under-served areas, improve participation in cultural activities, use collaborative efforts and inclusive practices, use best practice and innovative approaches, and improve the quality of life in the region.

Anyone interested in applying for a grant should first contact Jennifer O'Brien, the organization's program director, at 860-442-3572. Applications may then be submitted in an online form.
