Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods Slot Revenue Continues to Decline

Both casinos reported less than they did last year.

Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos are reporting that their slot revenue is down for the 16th month straight, according to the Hartford Courant.  

Mohegan Sun reported that their slot revenue was $52.6 million, which is down 4 percent from last year, which was $54.9 million. Their reported total amount wagered was $627.5 million, which is down 4.6 from last year, according to the report. 

Foxwoods repoted $44.5 million revenue, which is down from $49.5 million from April 2012. Also, the total amount wagered was down to $528.9 million from $600 million last year, according to the report.  

The casinos contribute25 percent of slot revenue to the state each month. According to this month’s numbers, Foxwoods paid $11.2 million and Mohegan Sun paid $13.1 million.
