Montville 7th Grader Jumps In To Help Choking Student: Report
A Montville student is being credited with helping save his friend, who was choking in the school cafeteria.
MONTVILLE, CT — A Leonard J. Tyl Middle School seventh grader is being credited with saving another student who was choking, according to The Day of New London.
Carson Gingerella, 13, was eating in the cafeteria March 18 when he started choking on a mozzarella stick. Jayce Adams, 12, jumped in to help, performing the Heimlich maneuver.
A cafeteria worker also alerted School Resource Officer Kirsten Todd, who came in to take over for Jayce.
