Montville Fire Crews Help Battle Blaze In Salem

MONTVILLE, CT — The Town of Montville Volunteer Fire Service shared on Facebook that on Wednesday afternoon the Montville Fire Co. 1, Chesterfield Fire Company and Oakdale Fire Department responded to assist the Salem Fire Company at the scene of a structure fire in a multi-unit residential building, on Horse Pond Road, along with Salem’s Gardner Lake Fire Company, the Bozrah Fire Company, Colchester Fire & EMS and Norwich’s Yantic Fire Department, in Salem

"While Montville Fire Service units were enroute to assist the Salem Fire Company, Montville Fire Co. 1 and the Mohegan Fire Company were dispatched to a possible structure fire. in Montville, on Velgouse Road, at 3:08PM. This call was quickly cleared as a furnace malfunction. The Oakdale Fire Department transported one injured person from the scene of the Salem incident," the department wrote on their Facebook page.
