Road Closed In Montville Due To Flooding: Police

Police are advising drivers use a detour to avoid a flooded local road.

MONTVILLE, CT — The New London Turnpike between Fitch Hill Road and Old Fitch Hill Road was closed due to flooding Monday morning, according to police.

Police advised drivers to use Fitch Hill Road to Old Fitch Hill as a detour.

A powerful storm ended the weekend by dumping more than five inches of rain on parts of the state and knocking out power for about 1,500. Several state and local roads were closed as well.
