SantaCon, Pop-Up Bar, Tree Lighting, More: Mohegan Sun Unveils Holiday Events

UNCASVILLE, CT — Mohegan Sun has rolled out its holiday plans, including a new pop-up bar.

The Gingerbread Bar will be open daily in the Sky Tower lobby from Dec. 4 to Jan. 5.

"Guests can sip on festive spirits and holiday-inspired cocktails while sitting by the fireplace with friends and family, according to a statement from the resort casino. "Featured cocktails include the Gingerbread Martini, Partridge in a Pear Tree, Winter Wonderland Mimosa, Berry Christmas Eggnog, Fireside Margarita, and Citrus Christmas."

There will also be photo opportunities with Santa Claus on Fridays — Dec. 5, 12, and 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Also on Dec. 12 for those 21 and older, there will be a visit from Grumpy Santa from 6 to 8 p.m.

"Santa will be trading cookies and milk for cocktails and selfies with every stranger he meets at The Gingerbread Bar," the statement reads.

Mohegan Sun’s Third Annual Sun Patio Tree Lighting will be Dec. 7 from 3 to 6 p.m. The event will also feature a holiday market, hot chocolate bar, and special guests from the band Earth, Wind, & Fire.

SantaCon at Mohegan Sun, a ticketed bar crawl and evening of specials for those 21 and older, will be Dec. 12. Tickets are on sale now via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office.
