Speeder Hit 105 MPH In School Zone, Montville Police Say
A man is facing charges after he sped through a school zone earlier this week, according to police.
MONTVILLE, CT β A man was caught doing 105 mph in a school zone in Montville, according to police.
An officer was doing speeding enforcement on Route 32 near St. Bernard's High School on Monday at 7 a.m. A gray BMW sedan sped past him going in the opposite direction, and the officer's mounted radar clocked it at 105 mph.
Another officer was able to stop the BMW near Chili's. The car had passed through two school zones, St. Bernard's High School and an access road to Mohegan Elementary, police said.

Cameron Riviera, 23, was arrested and charged with speeding in a school zone, reckless driving with speeds greater than 100 mph, and failure to renew registration.
Riviera was released on $2,900 cash/surety bond and scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Nov. 18.
