Untimely Death of Teenager in Montville Under Investigation
A 14-year-old male was found deceased due to an apparent gunshot wound, according to State Police.

State Police detectives from Eastern District Major Crime (EDMC) are investigating the untimely death of a 14-year-old juvenile male.
On June 5, 2016, at approximately 7:45 p.m., troopers from Troop E-Montville and the Montville Police Department responded to an untimely death due to apparent gun shot on Allen Street in Montville.
Detectives from EDMC responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
"The investigation into the untimely death is continuing," Trooper First Class Kelly Grant said in a press release. "Methodical steps for processing the scene and positively determining the identity of the male juvenile are being taken."
The Office of the Chief Stateβs Medical Examiner (OCME) is working with State Police detectives to positively identify this person. The OCME will also conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause and manner of death.
"There is no danger to the public regarding this isolated incident," Grant said.
