Winter Storm Warning; Montville's Hour-By-Hour Snowstorm Forecast

This weekend, it looks like we will be waking up to Saturday snow and going to sleep with it still falling. Because people often have a lot of errands to run and plans taking place on the weekend, we’re sharing the hour-by-hour forecast with you.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm advisory for certain areas of the state, a winter storm warning for some areas and a coastal flood advisory. The winter storm warning is in effect from 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, to 7 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24.

- Advisory: In effect from 4 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday
- Location of advisory: Interior portions of southern Connecticut
- Location of Winter Weather Warning: Coastal portions of southern Connecticut; all of New London County
- Temperatures will be in the low-20s, but will feel like 9 degrees
- Heavy snow
- Winds...North 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
- Hazardous travel due to reduced visibilities and significant snow accumulations
- Blowing and drifting of snow
- Near blizzard conditions are expected due to strong winds
- Coastal flood advisory in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday along coastal locations adjacent to eastern Long Island Sound
- Tidal Departures: 2 to 3 feet above normal astronomical tides
- Timing: During Saturday evening’s high tide cycle
