1 Dead, 1 Injured Following Waterbury Altercation Over Weekend: PD
The fight broke out on Grove Street, according to police.
WATERBURY, CT — An altercation on Saturday evening left one person dead and a second seriously injured, according to police.
Sgt. Joseph Morais said police were summoned around 7:17 p.m. to 144 Grove St. for reports of a physical altercation involving a weapon.
Police found two male victims at the scene, both suffering wounds that appeared to be from an edged weapon.

The two victims were rushed to local area hospitals, and one of them later died due to his injuries, police said.
Police as of Monday morning had not yet released the identities or ages of the victims.

“Currently, this incident appears to be an isolated event between several individuals,” police said, in an announcement. “There are no active threats to the public or residents of the building.”
An investigation is ongoing.
