Police ID Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle In Waterbury: PD
The accident happened on Dec. 22, according to police.
WATERBURY, CT — Police on Friday released the identity of a pedestrian who was fatally struck on Dec. 22.
Sgt. Joseph Morais said the victim was Joseph Mackendy, 36, of Haiti.
The accident happened around 10:47 p.m. near 581 Chase Ave. The victim, who sustained serious head injuries, was rushed to a local area hospital, where he died, police said.

The driver remained on scene, according to police.
The police department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
