Pedestrian Killed In Waterbury Hit-And-Run Accident: PD

The victim was a city resident, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT — A city woman has died after being struck by a vehicle which fled the scene Sunday night, police said.

Sgt. Joseph Morais identified the pedestrian on Monday as Sabrina Starkey, 43, of Waterbury.

The accident happened around 9:14 p.m. near 410 Reidville Dr.

Officers found the victim on the roadway with visible facial trauma. She was rushed to a local hospital, but she later died due to her injuries, police said.

The driver of the vehicle that hit her fled the scene, according to police.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
