2 Naugatuck Men, Juvenile Charged With Shoplifting at Rite-Aid: Police

Naugatuck police say the two men, both age 18, had been told not to enter the store previously.

Haakeem Mitchell,18, of Lantern Park Drive, and Benjamin Day, 18, of Scott Street along with a juvenile allegedly stole $37.84 of merchandise from Rite-Aid, police said in a report.

Naugatuck police responded to the larceny complaint on Oct. 19 at 3:13 p.m.

Mitchell and Day were advised in the past to stay away from store premises, police said.

Mitchell and Day were both charged with sixth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal trespassing, and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.

Mitchell and Day were both released on a $500 bond and given a court date at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 28.

The unnamed juvenile was charged with sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. He was released to his father and is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Juvenile Court on Oct. 28.
