2K Bags Of Heroin Seized In Waterbury Raid: Police
A city man faces multiple charges after the raid, including operating a drug factory.

WATERBURY, CT — Police seized about 2,000 bags of heroin and more than $1,000 cash in a raid at a Giles Street apartment this month, police said.
On Friday, police announced on Facebook they executed a search and seizure warrant on May 1 at 11:45 a.m. at a residence on the second floor at 96 Giles St.
In addition to the 2,000 bags of heroin and $1,043 cash, police also seized ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun, police said.

Jacquise Henry, 36, of Waterbury, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of an ounce or more of heroin/fentanyl, criminal possession of a firearm/ammunition, and illegal sale or transfer of a firearm.
Henry is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearms or ammunition, according to police. Henry also faces motor vehicle-related counts, including operating under suspension, improper use of marker plates, and insufficient insurance.

Henry as of Monday remained in the custody of the state Department of Correction, held on $1 million bond. He is next due to appear in Superior Court in Waterbury on June 5.
