3 Students Charged, 1 Hospitalized When Fight Erupts At CT High School: Reports
School resource officers responded to a fight at a high school Wednesday morning, according to reports.
WATERBURY, CT — Three students were charged and one was hospitalized following a fight at Wilby High School in Waterbury, according to WTNH News-8.
School resource officers responded to the fight at about 9 a.m. Wednesday. They were able to quickly contain the fight.
Police told WFSB 3-TV that one of the students arrested was also hospitalized for non-life-threatening facial injuries. The injured student was attempting to avoid staff and police when they lost their balance and fell.

Two students were charged with inciting a riot and second-degree breach of peace. Another student was charged with third-degree assault, inciting a riot, and second-degree breach of peace, according to WTNH News-8.
The district added more security cameras last year that police are able to view in real time. School administration said in May that assaults and bringing weapons to school had both decreased, WFSB 3-TV reported.

Large fights have occurred in the Waterbury School District before.
In a two-day period in May, several students were charged after two separate fights erupted at John F. Kennedy High School.
