Borough Juvenile Charged After Cumberland Farms Incident

Naugatuck Police say accused was a part of group of juveniles who were involved in argument with store patron.

A local juvenile, whose name was not released due to his age, allegedly caused damage to the car of a Cumberland Farms customer on Meadow Street after the group of juveniles he was with got into an argument with the patron, police said.

Officers responded to the Meadow Street Cumberland Farms on Oct. 14 at 5:33 p.m. The accused juvenile struck the patron’s car with his skateboard after he tried to drive away, police said. As a result, damage was done to the rear passenger door handle and door trim.

The juvenile was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace. He is due to appear to Waterbury Juvenile Court on Oct. 22 and was released to his mother.
