Bullet Found At Elementary School In Waterbury: Police

Investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.

WATERBURY, CT — Police are investigating after a bullet was discovered inside a classroom at Gilmartin Elementary School.

Police responded to the school, at 94 Spring Lake Rd., around 3:37 p.m. on Friday.

The bullet was turned over to responding officers, according to police.

Following a search of the building, officers determined there was no threat to students, staff, or the public, police said, in a press release Tuesday. Staff and students were not inside the building during the search, according to school officials.
