Man Wanted In Naugatuck Arrested In PA, Extradited Back To CT: Police
A man accused of trying to solicit sexual contact from an 8-year-old girl was arrested in Pennsylvania, according to Naugatuck police.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A man accused of trying to solicit sexual contact from a child was arrested last week in Pennsylvania and extradited back to Connecticut, according to Naugatuck police.
In a news release, police said their investigation began in February after receiving a report that Kevon Beckford, 31, tried to solicit sexual contact from an 8-year-old girl.
The investigation led to an arrest warrant being signed for Beckford charging him with fourth-degree criminal attempt at sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, according to police.

Naugatuck officers arrested Beckford in Pennsylvania on Nov. 7. He was then extradited back to Connecticut, police said.
During his arrest, officers also learned Beckford was wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to police.

Beckford was held on a $25,000 surety bond and arraigned in court last week, police said.
