Naugatuck Portuguese Club Celebrating 80th Anniversary This Weekend

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Portuguese Club is turning 80 and folks will be celebrating the big occasion over the weekend.

Starting Saturday night, the Clube Uniao Portuguesa is commemorating 80 years of serving the community, according to The Republican-American.

The Portuguese Club was founded in Naugatuck in 1936, according to the report.

The club is hosting a dinner and dance Saturday night and a special church service Sunday morning.
