Naugatuck Residents Charged With Stealing from the Mobil Station
Police say the pair was also found to allegedly be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ryan McCarthy, 40, and Bernadette Perniciaro, 32, both of Lines Hill Street in Naugatuck were arrested on Oct. 16, after officers responded to the Mobil station on a larceny complaint.
McCarthy attempted to rent a UHaul truck using someone else’s ID, attempted to steal sunglasses, and upon further investigation was found with drug paraphernalia, police said.

Police said Perniciaro was with McCarthy at the time and she was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia in addition to attempting to steal from the store, police said.

McCarthy is charged with sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, third-degree identity theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Perniciaro is charged with sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, use of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled, hallucinogenic substance.
McCarthy was released on $10,000 bond and Perniciaro was released on $5,000 bond. Both of the accused are scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 28.
