Naugatuck Stays Committed to Naugatuck Medical Facility and Restaurant Downtown

Developers remain committed to a development project in downtown Naugatuck.

Plans announced last year by a developer who intends to build a medical facility and restaurant in downtown Naugatuck are still in the process of being approved, but the developers say they remain committed to the project, according to the Republican-American.

The developer, Robert Oris, said he and his partner, John Lombard, having been working with the borough on an agreement that’s now in place to address environmental issues with the property on the corner of Maple and Water streets, also called Parcel C, according to the article.

A 25,000-to-20,000-square-foot medical facility and a 5,000-square-foot standalone restaurant are included in the plan for the lot, the article reported. Saint Mary’s hospital has committed to being the anchor tenant for the medical facility.
