One person was taken to the hospital, while neighboring departments covered the town and Naugatuck Fire Police handled traffic. Officials are urging residents to test alarms and replace units older than 10 years.

• CT theaters large and small are greeting 2026 with optimism and cool, different shows (courant.com) — Connecticut theaters are heading into 2026 with bolder programming and stronger attendance, and one of the experts watching this rebound also teaches theater at a Naugatuck high school.
