Naugatuck Woman Accused of Passing Bad Checks to ED's Hardware

She is accused of writing four bad checks to purchase over $1K worth of goods from the store.

Naugatuck police said a local woman was arrested for writing bad checks valued at over $1,000.

Shannon Carrol, 37, of Brook Street, was arrested on an outstanding warrant June 18, police said.

She is accused of purchasing goods at ED’s Do It Best Hardware using four checks that were returned for insufficient funds, leaving a $1,452.50 total loss for the business, police said.

Carrol is charged with fifth-degree larceny, issuing a bad check and sixth-degree larceny, police said.

She is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court July 1 and was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond, police said.
