Pedestrian In Critical Condition After Hit By Vehicle In Waterbury: PD

The accident happened early Monday morning, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT — A pedestrian was hit and critically injured while walking across the road near 1 Market Square early Monday morning, police said.

Lt. Ryan Bessette said the accident happened around 4:20 a.m.

The pedestrian, an adult male, was rushed to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, according to Bessette.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was not injured.

“Preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian entered the roadway outside of a crosswalk,” police said.
