NAUGATUCK, CT — As Halloween approaches this week, police said they have recently received a number of reports of young people kicking and damaging doors in town.
In a Facebook post Sunday, police said they have received multiple reports of a group of young people engaging in "ding dong ditch," a prank that typically involves ringing a person's doorbell and running away before the resident answers, with a twist.
"Instead of ringing doorbells," police said on Facebook, "individuals are reportedly kicking doors, resulting in property damage."
