Road Rage Driver Assaults Motorist, Passenger: Naugatuck Police
The man was cutting off numerous vehicles and brake-checked a driver before the attack, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man faces charges after he assaulted a driver and passenger in a road rage incident, according to police.
Shawn Newton, 52, is charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace, police said.
Authorities responded around 10 a.m. Friday to the 1100 block of New Haven Road for reports of a road rage-related assault, according to police.

Newton was cutting off numerous vehicles and brake-checking a female driver, police said. Newton and the driver pulled into a parking lot, where Newton assaulted the driver and her passenger, according to police.
Newtown was released on a $10,000 bond and is set to appear Dec. 13 in Waterbury court, police said.
