Norwalk’s Music Theatre of Connecticut Serves Up Laughs with Ken Ludwig’s ‘The Fox on the Fairway’!

Norwalk, CT – Music Theatre of Connecticut (MTC) MainStage, Fairfield County’s award-winning professional theatre company, continues their 39th season with the wild and hilarious comedy, Ken Ludwig’s The Fox on the Fairway. Set on the manicured greens of an elite golf club, this farce is full of outrageous antics, romantic entanglements, and uproarious misunderstandings. The production runs from November 7th through the 23rd with performances on Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm.
A tribute from Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, A Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp pulling the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics. A charmingly madcap adventure about love, life and man's eternal love affair with... golf.

The Fox on the Fairway stars Anette Michelle Sanders (B’way/Nat’l Tour- How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Mamma Mia) as Muriel, Missy Dowse (Nat’l Tour- Gypsy, Off-B’way- Lucky Stiff) as Pamela, Josh Powell (Off B’way- Upside Down, MTC- White Christmas) as Bingham, Sean Hannon (Off-B’way- Life Anonymous, SToNC- Mary Poppins) as Dickie, Ted Gibson (Off B’way- Sesame Street The Musical, MTC- Moon Over Buffalo) as Justin, and Erin M. Williams (Valley Shakespare- As You Like It, FL Festival Rep- Into The Woods) as Louise.
The Fox on the Fairway is directed by Amy Griffin. The production team includes stage management by Geovanni Colón, assistant direction/fight and intimacy direction by Dan O’Driscoll, scenic design by Sean Sanford, lighting design by Peter Petrino, costume design by Diane Vanderkroef, and sound design by Jon Damast.
