Teen Bicyclist Hurt In Waterbury Collision: PD
The bicycle and a vehicle collided on Bishop Street, according to police.
WATERBURY, CT — A 13-year-old boy riding a bicycle was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle Monday afternoon, according to police.
Lt. Ryan Bessette said the accident happened around 3:55 p.m. in the vicinity of 121 Bishop St.
The bicyclist sustained injuries that are believed to be serious, but non-life-threatening, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to police. The teen’s condition was not available as of Tuesday morning.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, police said. The roadway was closed immediately following the accident, but it has since reopened.
The collision remains under investigation, police said.
