Waterbury Man Accused Of Trying To Lure Child Into Car: PD
The 8-year-old girl escaped unharmed, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT — A local man is accused of trying to lure an 8-year-old girl into his vehicle on Sunday evening.
Christopher Rosa, 37, of Waterbury, was charged with first-degree stalking, risk of injury to a minor, and second-degree breach of peace.
The charges stem from an incident on Sunday around 7:41 p.m. in the area of Columbia Boulevard, police said, in an announcement on Facebook.

The child had been outside in the front yard of her home when an unknown man approached her. The man was inside a vehicle in front of the child’s residence when he attempted to lure her into the car, according to police. The individual then exited his vehicle and opened his trunk, prompting the child to run into her home and tell her parents, who called police. The child was not harmed, police said.
Officers identified the vehicle as a 2019 Honda Pilot operated by Rosa, and they subsequently took him into custody at his home on Rosengarten Drive, police said.
