In Memoriam: Mario Fanone

Mario Fanone, 74, a long-time New Canaan resident, died peacefully January 4, 2016, at Stamford Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Settefrati, Italy on June 10, 1941, he was the son of the late Cesare and Elena Frattaroli Fanone.

Mario is the husband of Cesarina Apruzzese Fanone.

In addition to his wife, Mario is survived by his son Carlo Fanone and his wife Ilen, his daughter Anna Ferraro and her husband Massimo, and three grandchildren, Antonio Mario Ferraro, Jackson Rene Balcazar, and Matthew Carlo Fanone, all of New Canaan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 8, at 10 am at St. Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan. Entombment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery Norwalk. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan.
