C'mon, Mobil, you've really got to get your stuff together. In a free market, being 10-cents more per gallon than the competition in New Canaan isn't going to win you any loyalty.
Gulf's got the hook up with $3.99-a-gallon for regular, as opposed to the $4.09 you're offering (Really?!), AND they have regular weekly sales.
"Usually they're more than 10-cents higher, brother," said Ishfaq "Vic" Quadar, who was manning the shop when I stopped in.
Quadar said every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, regular drops an extra 10 cents, and on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, super drops 10 cents. To check out the prices yourself, the stations are on opposing corners of Cherry Street and South Avenue.
