2 New Entries Break Into Top 10 Of Weekly Girls Basketball Poll

CONNECTICUT — The top five spots remained intact in the latest weekly Connecticut high school girls basketball poll, but two new entries cracked the lower half of the top 10.

Newington garnered 13 of 18 first-place votes to maintain its position atop the chart. Notre Dame-Fairfield had four top nods to stay in second, while Sacred Heart Academy received the other top vote to remain third.

Here are the top 10, with last week's ranking in parentheses, as well as all other schools receiving support from voters.
