Armed Home Invasion Reported In Newington: Police
The suspects were able to flee before the arrival of Newington police officers late Tuesday morning.
NEWINGTON, CT — Local police Tuesday are investigating an armed home invasion of a residence in a local neighborhood.
According to the Newington Police Department, at 10:59 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to a residence on West Hartford Road for a report of an armed residential home invasion/robbery.
Police didn't divulge many details about the incident, but said the victim in this case appears to be specifically targeted and not chosen at random.

"The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival," wrote the NPD in a release Tuesday afternoon. "There is no indication of any continued danger to residents in the area.
Police said this is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released when it is available.
