Bear Spotted On Main Street In CT Town: Police
Police issued an alert about the bear's location and told residents to keep animals inside until the bear is no longer in sight.
NEWINGTON, CT — A bear was spotted on Main Street in Newington Thursday morning, police said.
According to the Newington Police Department, at about 11 a.m., a bear was spotted on Main Street and Wilson Avenue moving west Thursday morning.
"Please keep away if spotted and let the animal go about. Keep pets inside until the animal is no longer in sight. Animal Control is aware and tracking the animal for safety," police said.
